Power Market Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain power flow models, e.g., generation, transmission, and load, etc.
• Perform congestion analysis and forecast nodal prices for daily, monthly, and annual power markets
• Work with traders to identify and evaluate trading opportunities

Qualifications:

• An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering with a Power Systems focus, or in other quantitative fields, e.g., Engineering, Economics, Physics, Mathematics, etc.
• Working experience in Production Cost Modeling, e.g., DAYZER, PROMOD, UPLAN, etc. or Optimal Power Flow Modeling, e.g., PowerWorld, PSSE, MATPOWER, etc.
• Programming experience in Python, SQL, VBA, MATLAB, R, etc.
